“There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning,” said the philosopher Epicurus.
Perhaps it was at that very moment—after 26 days of walking and reaching the end of a solo adventure—when I decided to start this personal project of curated, author-driven journeys.
Yes, I would say… it wasn’t at the end of the Camino de Santiago, standing before the cathedral, that I chose to embark on the beautiful journey of creating Banana Nature Travel Agency… but rather during the whole Camino itself—many steps walked alone, much time to think.
I remember I had a job offer as a canyoning guide in one of the places I had always dreamed of visiting: Patagonia, Argentina. I was sure that would be my next big leap…
But after more than two years living in Central America, guiding during the diving and canyoning seasons, and at 32 years old back in 2022, I began to feel it was time to bring this nomadic, seasonal life to an end.
Settling in my roots—Huesca, Spain—something that had never really called to me, started to take on meaning.
But one thing was clear: I still wanted to travel. I felt a calling, a fire that burned deep within me; since I was very young, I had always wanted to experience what lay beyond—no matter the cost (and I’m not just talking about money).
So now, I want to share with you my way of understanding travel and adventure.
The birth of BANANA.
