Intro
After experiencing two seasons in the Dolomites personally, we designed a trip to experience the best of what the Alps have to offer… Walls, towers, peaks, lakes, valleys, and mountains, forming a unique scenery straight out of the best fairy tales.
In the north of Italy, from west to east, we venture into its equipped trails and via ferratas that will bring out the best in us. Always accompanied by a Banana Nature mountain and canyoning guide, who will ensure safety every step of the way.
The difficulty of the selected routes is K3, intermediate level, which means there may be some small technical difficulties. We will resolve them with complete safety, always accompanied by our professional guide.
However, our team always recommends having prior experience in via ferratas or climbing. Possibility of doing so with us; consult for more details.

Expedition
A 10-day adventure through the best spots of the Dolomites with a small group of 6 people plus the guide.
We will arrive at Bergamo airport, where our expedition begins. From there, we will take our private van, which will be with us until the last day. We will head to Madonna Di Campiglio, where we will rest after our journey.
The next day, we’ll hike to a mountain refuge (Refugio Alimonta) and tackle our first via ferrata of the trip, a great way to get accustomed to the technique. We will sleep in a beautiful mountain setting, which will get us excited for the upcoming days.
Early in the morning, we will take on the Bochette Centrale via ferrata, one of the most beautiful in the area. It will be a full day, and we’ll return to Madonna Di Campiglio by evening.
The next day, we’ll transfer to the heart of the Dolomites (Marmolada) at Lake Fedaia, where we will stay in the Castiglioni refuge in shared rooms and half-board.
Our goal for this day is the Trincheras via ferrata, with the Marmolada always in our sight. This via ferrata starts with a vertical section that will challenge us, but afterward, we’ll enjoy a unique mountain environment with bridges, tunnels, and ridges, making this activity complete.
To wrap up, we will head to our next and final base camp in the charming village of San Vito di Cadore. We’ll stay in a hotel, in shared rooms with half-board.
From there, we will embark on 4 spectacular mountain days: Nuvolau (Ra Gusela + Averau), Lake Sorapis, Tofana di Rozes (Lipella), and the 3 Cime di Lavaredo.
On the final day, we’ll rest in the area before driving back to Bergamo airport with our van.
Undoubtedly, a complete mountain adventure, surrounded by the best alpine landscapes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Banana Nature and who are its “professional guides”?
We are travel coordinators specialized in outdoor adventure sports.
What sets us apart is that our guides hold the official international certifications required for each activity. This allows us to provide expert advice on everything you sign up for, adding an extra layer of safety, experience, and insight.
All the destinations we offer are places we’ve personally explored. That means you can relax and focus on what really matters: making the most of every experience.
Do I need any prior experience to take part in the adventure activities like scuba diving, canyoning, rafting, trekking, or via ferratas?
No prior experience is required — all our activities are designed for beginner level. However, you will need a basic level of physical and mental readiness.
That’s why our professional guides will reach out to you a few months before the trip to understand your starting point and confirm whether you’re a good fit for the Expedition.
What’s the difference between an “Expedition” and a “Custom Trip”?
The difference is that Expeditions are group trips organized by us and led by an official Banana Nature guide.
In contrast, a Custom Trip is planned entirely for you — you travel on your own, with whoever you choose, and on the dates that work best for you. There’s no Banana Nature guide accompanying you in person.
Both options are based on the destinations listed in our “Destinations” section, which serve as the foundation for your adventure.
What is the Preparation phase, and is it mandatory?
No, it’s not mandatory. It always depends on the destination you choose. We’ll get in touch with you to learn more about you — your physical condition and any prior experience.
Together, we’ll assess your needs and, with the help of our professional team, create a personalized preparation plan to ensure a complete and safe experience — if you decide to go ahead with it.
If I book an Expedition, can I cancel it later and get my money back?
Once you sign up for an Expedition, you’ll need to follow the booking conditions outlined here.
Canceling your participation 3 months in advance is not the same as doing it 5 days before — different terms will apply depending on the timing.
If the minimum group size isn’t reached, will I get my deposit back?
Yes, if the cancellation is due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, the company reserves the right to cancel the trip and will fully refund the amount paid by the customer.
Do I need vaccines? Any specific gear? What about the visa process?
All these kinds of questions and logistical details will be handled together with your guide and the rest of the group once the Expedition is confirmed and you start preparing for the adventure.
There’s no need to worry about any of this right now.
