Intro

Jumping to Africa is always a shock. Let yourself be guided on an expedition designed to bring out all your emotions.

We guide you in ascending the highest mountain on the African continent, Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m). A trek that doesn’t involve any technical difficulty, just the challenge of dealing with the mountain altitude, but one that will definitely bring out all your ghosts.

Knowing the demands of this challenge, we prepare you physically and mentally before the trip to ensure a fulfilling experience. See the “Preparation” section for details. We also form a group of like-minded travelers, where we all help each other and… we don’t leave anyone behind!

We support the local economy by choosing our local guide in a way that creates a working team (porters and chefs) made up of people from the village near Kilimanjaro.

Once this challenge is over, we can’t leave the country without going on a safari in its national parks. In a completely relaxed manner, and with a group bonded by the mountain experience, we’ll enjoy the wild side of the continent: elephants, lions, giraffes…

On a personal note, I’ve had the opportunity to live for several weeks in their small community when we designed the trip. We decided that part of the expedition budget would be donated to local schools. We will have the chance to visit them, so you can see firsthand their conditions and how we can help.

This isn’t just an expedition to climb a mountain; what sets us apart is that we want you to immerse yourself in a real personal growth journey, with experiences that will change the way you see life, as they have already done for us.

Start the change. We help you overcome this challenge, making it an experience that will mark a before and after in your life.

Expedition

In 12 days, through this expedition specialized in trekking, you will immerse yourself in a journey that will bring out the best in you.

We land at the airport named after our goal: Kilimanjaro. Our local guide will be waiting for us there, and we won’t let go of them throughout the entire expedition, allowing us to build a close and strong relationship.

On the first day, we will rest in a hotel, where we’ll enjoy all the comforts. The next day, we begin our great challenge: the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The route chosen for its scenic beauty is the well-known “Machame” route, which lasts a total of 6 days, allowing for proper acclimatization. We will sleep in tents, fully immersing ourselves in the mountain’s natural surroundings. Once the great challenge is overcome, we will rest and enjoy what this country has to offer.

After a day of rest at the hotel, we will head out early in the morning in our 4×4 vehicle towards the three national parks: Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara.

Finally, to conclude this grand expedition, we will visit a local school, personally chosen during our first exploration… To which we will have provided financial aid through part of our Banana Nature expedition.

An experience that will leave you nothing less than amazed, promoting a conscious way of traveling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is Banana Nature and who are its “professional guides”?

We are travel coordinators specialized in outdoor adventure sports.

What sets us apart is that our guides hold the official international certifications required for each activity. This allows us to provide expert advice on everything you sign up for, adding an extra layer of safety, experience, and insight.

All the destinations we offer are places we’ve personally explored. That means you can relax and focus on what really matters: making the most of every experience.

No prior experience is required — all our activities are designed for beginner level. However, you will need a basic level of physical and mental readiness.

That’s why our professional guides will reach out to you a few months before the trip to understand your starting point and confirm whether you’re a good fit for the Expedition.

The difference is that Expeditions are group trips organized by us and led by an official Banana Nature guide.

In contrast, a Custom Trip is planned entirely for you — you travel on your own, with whoever you choose, and on the dates that work best for you. There’s no Banana Nature guide accompanying you in person.

Both options are based on the destinations listed in our “Destinations” section, which serve as the foundation for your adventure.

No, it’s not mandatory. It always depends on the destination you choose. We’ll get in touch with you to learn more about you — your physical condition and any prior experience.

Together, we’ll assess your needs and, with the help of our professional team, create a personalized preparation plan to ensure a complete and safe experience — if you decide to go ahead with it.

Once you sign up for an Expedition, you’ll need to follow the booking conditions outlined here.

Canceling your participation 3 months in advance is not the same as doing it 5 days before — different terms will apply depending on the timing.

Yes, if the cancellation is due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, the company reserves the right to cancel the trip and will fully refund the amount paid by the customer.

All these kinds of questions and logistical details will be handled together with your guide and the rest of the group once the Expedition is confirmed and you start preparing for the adventure.

There’s no need to worry about any of this right now.
